What exactly does it mean to be green?
With the increased focus being placed on the world around us, people
and companies are becoming more conscience of what they can do to
help reduce waste, greenhouse gasses, and other pollutants that are
negatively effecting our environment. We are excited to be a part
of this "green movement", with the introduction of the M&K
Eco yarn line.
These yarns have all been grown and processed according to a strict
set of standards controlled by Skal International, among many others.
Skal International is an inspection and certification organization
recognized around the world, and by the USDA in the U.S., which certifies
organic products processes and inputs. Both the cotton and the wool
used in the M&K Eco yarn line have been grown and harvested within
the guidelines for ecological agriculture under EU (European Union)
Regulation No. 2092/91, certified by Skal Internation.
What does this really mean?
These yarns have been produced with as minimul impact to the world
around us as possible, with absolutely no sacrifice to quality. This
means that you can knit and wear truly high quality yarn that is 100%
green; perfect for you, your friends, and those precious little children
that we all love to knit for!
We hope that you enjoy the M&K Eco yarn line and that we can work
together to do well for the world we live in. |
